As part of the Athena Pathways initiative to enroll 500 more women into artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and various other technology roles, MetaOptima provided an internship for Nav Randhawa. We had a chance to connect with Nav and hear about her great experience.

Check out her story:

I am a fourth year student at Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University. My choice for accepting a cooperative education position at a tech company builds upon my goal of pursuing a joint degree with computing science.

My internship at MetaOptima was a valuable learning experience. It was an opportunity to learn and develop new skills under the guidance of great industry leaders. As a Customer Success Executive, I worked closely with the development team in planning, prioritizing, and testing new features and developing deeper understanding the product. Moreover, I learnt the value of cross departmental communication and transparency within the company. It lead us to better manage our customer needs and meet a higher level of satisfaction.

It was a great opportunity to meet and connect with my fellow coops and colleagues. Not only did we have a chance to work on individual tasks, but also projects that required cross-departmental efforts. It lead us to form strong professional relationships.

Witnessing Maryam Sadeghi lead the company with tremendous passion and knowledge has reinforced my academic and professional goals.
Her success in the tech industry and business management inspires others women to pursue similar career choices.
